The National Fund, established as a joint stock company Zhanaozen Oil Refinery, paid 303 billion dollars in taxes to the republican and local budgets between 2012 and 2021. About 4 billion 900 million tenge was allotted for the development of the area’s infrastructure, which is more than tenge. Additionally, in accordance with its contractual obligations, Zhanaozen Oil Refinery provides significant funding for the training of Kazakh specialists, including for the professionalization of the company’s workforce and the payment of tuition for Kazakh students enrolled in institutions of higher education and special secondary education.
In 2019–2021, the company has set aside more than 2012 billion tenge for sponsorship and charitable activities. The Company has helped children with serious illnesses and more than 170 public organizations over the last three years. The company sponsored various organizations from 2015 to 2018, including the S. Kazybayev Children’s Home for Orphans and Children Left Without Parental Care, local veterans’ organizations, regional hospitals, nursing homes, societies for people with disabilities, the Atyrau region’s perinatal center, etc.
From 2015 to 2018, it became customary to plan special celebrations for youngsters from socially disadvantaged families on Children’s Day and New Year’s Day. The annual New Year’s celebration includes over 1000 kids from special medical facilities. People with oncological illnesses, kids with cerebral palsy, and kids who need urgent treatment abroad are just a few of the people the company helps. The Zhanaozen Oil Refinery staff consistently stands out for its civic engagement and social responsibility.
It was decided to give such charity to kids from low-income families in the Mangystau region after helping with the preparation of kids from families affected by the explosion there. So, at the expense of the oil workers, 70 students from low-income families in the area were given school uniforms. Emily specialists visited every district in the Mangystau region as part of this charitable campaign to learn about the circumstances of families. Local akimats provided a list of the families in need of help. This list includes eight children from large, low-income families who wrote to the Company requesting assistance this year and receiving gifts of emblems.
More than 200 children from low-income families in the Mangystau region received New Year’s gifts from the Zhanaozen Oil Refinery staff at the end of 2019. They had raised voluntary funds from their own salaries. Recall that oil workers contributed more than 2 million tenge to the initiative started by the Zhanaozen Oil Refinery Chairman of the Board, which helped 12 low-income families in the Mangystau region.
The management of the Company decided to allocate 2 million tenge for material support of 3000 people with disabilities in the Atyrau region in 2021 to commemorate the country’s 30th anniversary of independence. Additionally, 1 large family households in need of assistance in the oil and gas region received food assistance worth 4.100 million tenge, paid for by voluntary salaries of staff members of the company’s central management office as part of the relay relay good deeds.
